| Amazfit announces new fitness smartwatches |
Amazfit has launched three new durable smartwatches, the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro at $229.99 and the Amazfit GTR 3 and GTS 3 at $179.99 each.
The company says the GTR 3 can be used normally for up to 21 days before it is shipped. The battery life of the GTR 3 Pro and GTS 3 is about 12 days. When power saving mode is activated, it lasts longer.
And Amazfit is not a household name. But the company has successfully grown to become one of the best (and most productive) smartwatch manufacturers in the world. It is the brand of Zepp Health Products, formerly known as Huami, a public company invested by Xiaomi.
All GTR 3 Pro, GTR 3, and GTS 3 watches are powered by the Zepp OS, which is compatible with Android via Apple Health and iOS as well as Google Fit. You can also sync your health and activities data with Strava, Runkeeper, etc.
The GTR 3 Pro is the company's new fitness watch. It includes wireless network, GPS, 2.3 GB for music storage, and supports Bluetooth voice and calls.
There is a 1.45-inch circular OLED touch screen with a pixel density of 331 pixels per inch. This watch is water resistant to a depth of 50 metres.
The new BioTracker 3.0 optical sensor can measure heart rate, blood oxygen, pressure and respiratory rate in less than 45 seconds with a single tap.
You can also move the watch by pressing and dragging the crown, clicking another physical button next to it, or swiping on the touch screen.
The GTR 3 Pro is also equipped with a microphone and speakers that can be used to interact with Amazon Alexa voice commands when connected to the Internet (15 countries and 14 languages).

There is also a built-in voice assistant (English, Spanish, German and Chinese) for offline use that allows you to control the watch when your hand is occupied.
According to Amazfit, the watch can track more than 150 sports and automatically detect eight activities so you don't forget to keep track of popular activities such as running, walking, swimming and cycling.
The GTR 3 has a 450mAh battery but loses wireless network support, music storage, microphone, speakers, and Bluetooth audio. It also has a smaller 1.39 inch screen.
The lightweight GTS 3 is still similar to the Apple Watch, but retains most of the functionality of the GTR 3. But in a rectangular case with reduced battery life.
The GTR 3 Pro is now priced at $229.99 in the US and the GTR 3 is priced at $179.99. But the $179.99 GTS 3 will be available soon. The three watches are now available in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
