Acer announces ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition |
Acer has officially released the ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition laptop to 3D creators, bringing 3D SpatialLabs technology to laptops that you can buy with the naked eye.
Released earlier this year, 3D SpatialLabs combines optical, display and sensor technologies with real-time rendering capabilities to deliver a stereoscopic 3D experience to the naked eye.
These features include a dedicated stereo camera with two sensors that can track your eyes and head, an optical lens that extends across the screen to process different images of your eyes, and real-time 3D image adjustment when you see the Move display software.
A 3D screen is useless without 3D content. Therefore, the company offers some tools such as SpatialLabs Model Viewer that allows you to import 3D files from applications such as Autodesk Fusion 360, Rhinoceros, and ZBrush.
Acer also said it is working with developers to create more integrated solutions for the future. While the technical availability of this laptop is limited, this means that it can be slow to get started.
The company also offers SpatialLabs Go with AI enhancements that allow you to turn 2D content into stereoscopic 3D images. It contains videos, photos, simple games, and webcam feeds from participants during a video conference or video call.

Combined with 3D SpatialLabs technology, ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition is the industry's leading laptop specification suitable for all the real-time rendering and 3D modeling the company envisions.
Although he did not provide the exact configuration yet. However, it can be configured with an Intel Core i7-11800H processor. Equipped with up to 32GB DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 64GB). Nvidia RTX 3080 and 2 TB NVMe SSD.
There is only one option for the 15.6-inch LCD screen. The screen offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels in 2D mode and 1920 x 2160 pixels in 3D mode.
"Acer is committed to breaking down barriers between people and technology," the company said. SpatialLabs is an example of how we strive to ensure that this goal guides everything we do. Designers can view their 3D creations in 3D as they work. So there is no need to wait.
ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition will launch in December this year in Europe, Middle East and Africa with a starting price of 3,599 euros.
