Xiaomi introduces HyperCharge via Xiaomi 11T Pro |
Xiaomi is doing its best to introduce HyperCharge technology to the general public around the world. The next, Xiaomi 11T Pro was equipped with a 120W charger, and compared to the current global flagship Xiaomi 11, the performance has been greatly improved, the latter using a 55W charger that can reach 100% in 45 minutes.
The company has not revealed the estimated charging time of the Xiaomi 11T Pro. But the Mi 10 Ultra, which appeared in China last year, is also equipped with a 120W charger that can be fully charged in 23 minutes.
Many users fear that these types of fast chargers can negatively affect battery life, have safety concerns, or both.
To address the concerns, Daniel Degalis, Head of International Communications and Global Spokesperson for Xiaomi, spoke about the company's efforts in fast charging technology and the expectations of people outside China for the Xiaomi 11T Pro.
The manager explained what would happen to the proprietary battery technology and how the company's thermal monitoring system maintained the optimum charging current at each point in the cycle.
In terms of longevity, Degarley said you can expect the same stamina as other traditional cell phones.
"We have tested it extensively," he added. At this charge level, the battery we tested retained 80% of battery health after 800 charge cycles.
In turn, Apple is urging customers to expect lithium-ion batteries to retain 80% of their original capacity after 500 full charge cycles.

If the Xiaomi test numbers are correct. Mobile phones like the Mi 11T Pro shouldn't have an extraordinarily short lifespan. Even if its owner only uses fast chargers.
The ideal situation is to use a slower charger for overnight charging and a faster charger for more urgent cases.
In terms of safety, Degarlis said testing was very thorough, including for third parties. The device itself has 34 different built-in battery protection functions.
The company believes that fast charging technology is already there and there is room for improvement.
And earlier this year. The company introduced a 200-watt prototype that can be charged in 8 minutes with a 4000 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi International Conference for the Xiaomi 11T Pro and the rest of the 11T series will take place next week on Wednesday, September 15th.
