| Google Android 12 could release on October 4th |
Internal Google documents show that Android 12 could be released on October 4, and that the next version of the mobile operating system will use the new visual design of Material You, and will begin public beta in May.

The source code for Android 9 was released on August 6, 2018, which is the same date as the stable update release date for the previous two generations of Pixel devices.
