Facebook enters the field of fantasy sports |
Facebook hopes to enter the world of prediction games similar to fantasy sports, as the social media giant has launched great games in the US and Canada and offers free and easy predictive games for sports and popular culture.
Some games are described as simple copies of traditional fantasy sports on the market.
The cool game feature allows you to guess what happened in sports and TV shows. The new game will be released for the first time through iOS and Android apps for users in the United States and Canada.
Pick & Play Sports is the first game to be launched in partnership with Whistle Sports. Fans can earn points by correctly predicting the winner of a big game, the result of an older player, or any other event that occurs during the game.

Players can also earn extra points by making a series of correct predictions within a few days.
In the next few months, the company plans to release additional games for TV shows like Single Girl and Survivor, sports leagues like Major League Baseball, and other BuzzFeed-produced shows.
For example, with the MLB Home Run Picks, you need to predict which team will have the most home runs on a given day. The La Liga winning streak challenges you to anticipate the daily victories of the Spanish Football League for as long as possible.
You can also guess the winners of reality shows like "Survivor" and "Single Girl". There are promises of other popular culture games. Although the company did not provide any examples.
The game has a comprehensive rating. Users can also create a league with friends and compete with each other or with other fans in public or private.
Alliance members can compare results. You have a place to share your decisions, comments and feedback.
You can find games by adding favorites lists and notifications in the news feed.
Facebook enters the field of fantasy sports
Facebook is clearly not interested in competing for money with great gaming services like DraftKings and FanDuel at the moment.
However, social networks still have a lot of incentives to release great games. This feature allows you to look back and increase your ad revenue and your overall interaction with Facebook. It also opens the door to paid games in the future.
The company has recently moved into the gambling business so that people can use its services. It launched a web app for its cloud gaming service in July to bypass Apple App Store rules and let iOS users try it out.
It also offers a Twitch-like streaming service called Facebook Gaming. These cool new games offer something different from traditional game offerings. But perhaps it is more suitable for social networks.
