Discord lets you schedule server events |
Messaging app Discord has announced that Advanced Nitro Layer now allows subscribers to use different avatars on each of their servers.
The platform was originally designed as a place to meet players and use voice chat. But the service keeps getting new features.
The "Change Alias" option in the app is replaced by "Change server configuration file". You can change the server's nickname and profile picture here.
Previously, you had to change your profile picture every time you switch servers.
So if you use multiple servers, like multiple platform users, you can keep each identity independent and unique.
The platform also announced that it has started rolling out scheduled activities that allow users to plan ahead so they have time to increase awareness and engagement. Similar to a Facebook event.

The company said it's seeing more and more communities using theater channels to connect with members at AMAs, public mic events, or other large-scale discussions.
The platform's scheduled events allow users to create an event with a topic name for a future date, allow members to respond to invitations to attend, then send them a notification at the start of the event, and create invite links for specific events.
Members can also browse the list of future events through the server. The scheduled events feature is available on desktop, iOS, and Android devices.
There is no time limit in which a coordinator can plan in advance for an event. However, there are up to 100 events at the same time.
It's worth noting that the platform started testing YouTube integration a few weeks after Google's platform forced the closure of two popular Discord music programs.
As part of a new test of collaboration between the two platforms, YouTube integration has appeared on some servers. This feature is called Watch Together and it allows members of the platform to watch YouTube videos together.
