| Why Canon, Sony and Fujifilm cameras sell more |
Sales of professional cameras have increased since their downfall in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Global market share data shows that Sony, Canon and Fujifilm all dominate this market.
This was announced by the Japanese Nikkei index. Canon continues to lead with a market share of 47.9% and a growth of 2.5% over 2019. This includes an estimated growth of 1.5%.
Fujifilm ranked third with a market share of 5.6%. Compared to 2019, it achieved an estimated increase of 0.9%.
Canon best selling camera
Miss Leaderboard is one of the leading manufacturers of cameras. Namely, Nikon. It remained in second place until 2018. Since then, the company's share price has fallen by 4.9%, and Panasonic's share price has also fallen off the list.
All this data goes back to 2020 when camera sales fell 40% but sales improved in 2021.
In July, camera sales increased 148.1% year over year. Overall, this is an encouraging boost for the digital camera market.
With this data coming out the following year, we still have no way of knowing how high each company's revenue share will be in 2021, but there's no doubt Sony and Canon will continue to lead.
Reasons for the increase
Canon and Sony have the highest growth rates among the other companies, and their sales are among the highest. The reason for this is the different versions that the two companies will release in 2020.
Canon has updated most cameras with different price ranges. The Canon EOS R5 and EOS R6 and their lenses were released in the same year.
Sony is focusing more on cameras. This helped her to thrive in 2020 as many people are working online rather than losing their jobs.
Sony released the A7S III and the smaller Sony ZV-1 and A7C cameras. His other cameras continue to be sold.
On the flip side, Canon announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2021, announcing that sales of mirrorless cameras doubled compared to 2020. So we can go back to the top of the list next year.
