What Apple products are expected this year?

The Apple Inc events is not normal. Like it or not, you'll be waiting to see what the Cupertino giant will do.

The company hosted two events in the spring and summer of 2021 and launched a series of hardware and software updates.

Now all eyes are on the second half of the year when Apple hosts its next event, especially for 2021 devices.

An official date for the event has yet to be set, nor is it clear if there will be one or two events this fall.

According to tradition, there can be two events. The company usually organizes three to four events per year. Two of them expire in the fall.

Last year, due to the epidemic and production issues, the company held three separate events, one for the launch of two new smartwatches in September, the second for the iPhone 12 in mid-October, and the third for the MacBook in November. and MacBook Air with the M1 chip provided.

Two fall events are planned in September and October this year. The September event focused on the next iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. The October event focused on the 2021 MacBook Pro and iPad mini.
What Apple products are expected this year?

iPhone 13

The iPhone 13 is arguably the biggest news in the company's plans for this fall. The report shows that all four iPhone 12 models in the iPhone 13 series have the same size and shape as their predecessors.

With the upgrade to the ProMotion 120Hz display, larger design improvements should be noted, as bumps can be reduced.

This may not apply to all models, but the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models may have a screen.

As for optics, it is rumored that all four models are equipped with LiDAR scanners and a sensor shift stabilization function that can provide ultra-stable images in different lighting conditions.

Otherwise, the iPhone 13 series should come with a slightly larger battery. These phones come with a faster A15 Bionic chipset and faster 5G connectivity.

There are rumors that Touch ID can be brought to the bottom of the iPhone 13 screen as an alternative to biometric authentication with Face ID.

Apple Watch

The company has a tradition of releasing new Apple Watches every September. A little differently from last year, a new model of the Apple Watch SE was introduced in addition to the Apple Watch Series 6.

There is no information about the new model of the Apple Watch SE. However, there are rumors that a redesigned Apple Watch is in development and is expected to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 13.

Since the company has stuck to the same aesthetic for many years, it can be redesigned.

New generation wearable devices can adopt a sleek and elegant design like iPhone 12 with flat edges. Apple lacks the flexibility to improve the battery life of its smartwatches.

This may change with newer models, because the Apple Watch Series 7 could benefit from significant battery improvements, compared to the previous year's model, where battery life is extended by more than 18 hours.

In addition, Apple Watch Series 7 has a new health feature that includes a sensor to monitor blood sugar. This watch runs on the new WatchOS 8 that was released to WWDC earlier this year.

AirPods 3

The second generation of AirPods was launched in 2019, that was more than two years ago, and we are still waiting for the third generation of AirPods.

Although there aren't as many rumors about AirPods 3 as the iPhone 13, I think the redesigned AirPods 3 with wireless charging will be coming soon.

Rumor has it that the new AirPods have a circular design similar to the AirPods Pro and have shorter legs. AirPods 3 may also have replaceable silicone earplugs for the first time. This should provide a better fit and comfort for the ears.

3rd generation AirPods may lose noise canceling and transparency modes. But it can integrate sensors to get spatial sound, and the price is lower.

iPad mini 6

The rumors surrounding the launch of the redesigned 6th generation iPad mini have been circulating for quite some time now. All in all, it could be released in the fall of 2021.

There are a number of leaks that indicate that the iPad Mini 6 may see an increase in screen size from 7.9 inches to 8.3 inches.

The new iPad mini takes some design cues from last year's iPad Air. It comes with slimmer bezels, Touch ID in the side power button and flat edges.

Borrowed from the iPad Pro of 202, the iPad mini could have a mini-LED display in 2021. This could improve contrast and brightness compared to the previous LCD screen.

The leaks claim that the iPad Mini 6 has the A15 Bionic chipset, which also debuts via the iPhone 13. In addition, Apple may replace the Lightning port with a USB-C port and provide 5G for connectivity.

MacBook Pro

Apple revolutionized the design of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air last year with the inclusion of the M1 chipset. It's expected to boost processing power a bit and make its way to the noticeably premium MacBook Pro for 2021.

This time around, the 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to be resized alongside the 16-inch model. The 14-inch MacBook Pro is a resized successor to the 13.3-inch model from last year.

While the chassis will likely remain the same, the display is set to feature a thinner bezel to make room for a larger screen size within the flat body expected across the new device.

It can be said that the 2021 MacBook Pro will not be released with any significant difference in physical size. But it may lack Touch Bar.

The MacBook Pro differentiates itself by the inclusion of new ports this year. The device is said to have a mini-LED display for better contrast and brightness, and includes a MagSafe connector and an SD card reader.

Apple events

There are no confirmed dates for supposed Apple events at this time. Speculation is that since the company tends to host events on Tuesday, September 14th could be the date of the first fall event where the iPhone 13 series, the new smartwatch, and AirPods will be showcased.

The other products mentioned above will be launched later in the year. Other than these devices, Apple has many other products ready to debut.

For example, the new MacBook Air with a thinner frame and faster CPU, a new iMac, Mac Pro and Mac mini. But there is no specific date for its release.
