| The electric Mercedes EQS comes at a price of 100,000 dollars |
Mercedes has confirmed that its flagship EQS electric car is priced at at least $100,000 as it begins taking orders in Germany.
The EQS is one of the most anticipated cars this year. The base EQS 450+ starts at US$124,000, is equipped with a 90kW battery and drives the rear wheels with a single electric motor.
The more expensive twin-engine EQS 580 4MATIC is equipped with a 107.8 kW battery and all-wheel drive and starts at $159,000.
If buyers stop the EQS, prices can rise even more. But even if you own a car, Mercedes uses EQS to test whether customers are interested in paying to unlock or accept other functionality provided by wireless software updates.
Mercedes, for example, electronically limits the steering angle of the rear wheels to 4.5 degrees. But an after-purchase option is to pay the company more to increase the steering angle to 10 degrees. A smaller turning radius requires 1547 euros.
The company also plans to temporarily enable these features and try them out for free in an effort to attract customers.
You focus more on software sales. For just €89 per month (free after one year) EQS owners can enjoy the privilege of playing Tetris, Sudoku, and other mini-games. This is done via the large dashboard display and other functions.

It should be noted that this German company is not the only company trying this idea. As automakers increase computer control of various components, it won't be the last.
Tesla pioneered this idea and is offering features such as autopilot via wireless upgrades.
The company also sold cars with a larger battery capacity that was electronically limited to a lower range. The owner can pay to unlock this additional capacity.
There are a lot of options to choose from. But there are also packages that simplify the process by combining several functions: the Advanced package (2082 euros) and the Advanced Plus package (7021 euros). Premium (11781 euros) and Premium Plus (14,994 euros).
