SpaceX launches satellites to display advertisements in space |
Over the next year, Elon Musk's SpaceX company is expected to launch a satellite into space to display recorded ads and broadcasts on Twitch and YouTube.
Canadian energy technology startup CubeSat sends signals via a Falcon 9 rocket, which has a pixel screen on one side of the rocket to display ads.
The company then took a selfie stick from the satellite to capture the screen and send the image back to Earth.
Satellite donors are still performing the DOGE-1 lunar landing mission - the first commercial lunar payload in history to be paid entirely in DOGE coins.
The Canadian engineering firm did not mention the cost of purchasing the tokens required to advertise on the orbital billboard, nor the cost of rolling out the CubeSat.
Construction details were not disclosed. But the screen is supposed to look like Reddit Place, users create pixel graphics and pay to view them on the website.
Advertisers use cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum to pay for the purchase of five types of ad tokens, with Doge payments starting later.
The five types of code required to place the scoreboard are: beta coordinates for X, Rho coordinates for Y, GAMMA for brightness, Kappa for color, and XI for time.
Samuel Reed, CEO of Engineering Energy Canada, said he is currently building the satellite. If there is an advertisement in the room, the banner will appear on the screen.
He entered space on the same mission as the DOGE-1 lunar mission. It will reach the market in 2022.
Each token purchased by the advertiser controls different aspects of the offer. The gamma and kappa symbols control the representation of the pixels. XI determines the duration of the display on the screen - the higher the price, the longer it will be.

“I am trying to do something that democratizes access to space and enables decentralized participation,” Reid said. I hope people don't waste their money on inappropriate, offensive or offensive things.
Read stated that the platform is open to anyone buying the tokens. Including artists who want to display their work in space.
This idea has been in development since 2018 when Red first tried to convince SpaceX that the idea was worth pursuing.
The mission of DOGE-1, a major Canadian energy engineering company, is another collaboration with SpaceX. The CubeSat weighs 40 kilograms and is scheduled to be launched on the Falcon 9 mission early next year.
The company said: The payload receives information about the intelligence of the lunar space from sensors and cameras installed there through an integrated computer and communications system.
“This mission demonstrates the use of cryptocurrency out of orbit and lays the foundation for interstellar trading,” said SpaceX’s Vice President of Commercial Sales. We are very excited to launch DOGE-1 on the Moon.
