Google allows you to find your workplace using the calendar |
Google has added an option to its calendar service that allows you to view your workspace on any day of the week.
With the release of coronavirus vaccines in many parts of the world and the relaxation of restrictions related to the pandemic, many organizations have announced plans to return to their positions.
However, the variable delta risk means that many employers are adopting a hybrid and flexible model that allows employees to work remotely for a certain number of days or hours per week.
If your organization has a similar hybrid business model that allows you to work remotely and in the office, the new Google Calendar feature comes in handy.
This feature will be available from August 30 to users who choose the Google Workspace plan.
It's accessed through the current working time and calendar settings menu, as well as the weekly calendar view below that shows today's date.
Available workplaces are 'office', 'home', 'unspecified' or 'other place'.
Depending on the company, this option is added to make it easier to plan individual collaborations or to set expectations in mixed workplaces.
Previously, working from home and teamwork had become increasingly popular due to the pandemic. This means that when planning personal meetings and other events, employees increasingly have to monitor not only working hours, but also the location of employees.
