Apple launches service plan for audio issues on iPhone 12 |
Apple has released a new service plan for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro users who have problems with headphones on their devices.
The company said that affected devices may experience sound issues due to a possible malfunction of the headphone receiver components. This is the first service plan for the iPhone 12 suite.
According to the company, this issue only affects a small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021.
Your iPhone manufacturer states that if your iPhone doesn't play audio on the phone when making or receiving calls, your iPhone qualifies for the program.
This plan applies to iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro only, not iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max. The plan applies to affected iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro devices within two years of the device's first retail sale.
While all iPhone 12s are still covered by Apple's one-year warranty, the service plan covers two years after you purchase the device and offers an additional one-year warranty for your headset.
Apple has stated that the company or authorized service provider will repair affected devices free of charge. Find an authorized company service provider, schedule an appointment at the company's retail store, or contact company technical support and arrange courier service through the repair center.

As always, Apple has stated that if your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro gets damaged, it will affect its ability to complete the repair. Including a broken screen, this issue must be addressed before repairing.
The company also said it will check phones to make sure they meet the terms of the plan before offering any services.
Although it is difficult to understand the importance of business through a small part. (I've used this phrase to describe some problem butterfly keyboards.) But headphone problems don't seem to be common.
Searching for reports of receiver crashes on Reddit or Twitter led to quite a few complaints.
