ZTE announces Axon 30 with a camera under the screen |
Last year, ZTE's Axon 20 5G was the world's first commercial mobile phone with an under-display front camera.
This is a major advance in telephony technology. But there is a problem that the camera is broken.
So now ZTE is trying to do things better with the updated Axon 30 5G. It seems to bring some improvements over its predecessor.
The Axon 30 5G has a 6.92-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and FHD + resolution and is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 5G processor.
There are four cameras on the back of the device, the main lens is 64 pixels, the viewing angle is 120 degrees 8 pixels, the macro is 5 pixels, and the additional depth of field is added.
4200mAh battery capacity, 55W fast charging, 6/8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage options.
In addition, the most important update for the Axon 30 5G is the front camera. It has been redesigned with 16MP and all visible space above it. Rearranges the pixels using a higher cathode for transparency.
For this camera to work, a transparent material must be used in this area of the screen and this is a relatively new development and has lower quality compared to the normal display technology.
ZTE introduces the Axon 30 5G. In the market
ZTE said that for the Axon 30 5G, the pixel density in this area will increase from 200 pixels per inch to 400 pixels per inch, resulting in smoother integration with the screen.
ZTE said it also improved the camera under the screen itself. In addition, the screen uses a 7-layer structure. Including materials with high light transmission and the new UDC Pro display chip.
ZTE claims that these developments have shed more light on the camera sensor. This improves image clarity compared to last year's solution.
Additionally, the camera uses a four-in-one assembly process, and the Axon 30 5G is available in black and green.
ZTE Axon 30 5G was first launched in China. The 6/128 GB model will go on sale on August 3 for $340. The 12/256 GB model can cost up to $480. Global availability and pricing will be announced at a later time.
