WhatsApp has developed a camera function similar to the Snapchat camera |
WhatsApp is testing additional features of its iOS app, including the unique display of sent photos and videos and a redesigned in-app notification.
According to WABetaInfo, after introducing this functionality for Android beta testers, WhatsApp introduced a one-time discount function for iOS beta app users until version 2.21.140.9.
This feature allows users to use Snapchat-like features to send photos and videos that disappear after viewing.
Although WhatsApp is different from Snapchat, WhatsApp has not said if anyone has taken a screenshot.
And the app doesn't warn people because there's no safe way to make sure you don't take screenshots because there are several ways you can work around it.
If you are a WhatsApp beta tester, after updating the app from TestFlight, try sending photos or videos to see if you can use the new features.
When you send media content, it disappears from your phone and also disappears on the recipient's phone as soon as you open it. When the recipient opens the photo or video, you'll receive a notification asking you to open the balloon.
The message information contains more details, such as: b. Than open your photo or video.

Another feature introduced in this beta version is the redesign of the new in-app notifications. With this update, users can now view more detailed information such as photos, videos, GIFs, and stickers in the notification banner.
Users can now expand in-app notifications to view chat previews. Since the chat preview is not as static as it appears when looking at the chat module, users can scroll up and down the view to see the oldest and most recent messages.
Although the in-app notification has been redesigned. WhatsApp said reading a message is not considered read because you need to open the chat normally.
It is not clear when the app will release these features publicly. But since it's been made available to beta testers, it won't be long.
