Sony launches LSPX-S3 glass speakers |
Sony has launched a new product in the hybrid speaker lamp with the glass lamp category that costs less than $100 than its predecessor.
The LSPX-S3 is a $349 wireless Bluetooth speaker that includes a glass tube as a speaker. Sony says it can send audio in all directions.
It is said that using this technology, the speakers can deliver clear, powerful and high-pitched sound that is evenly distributed throughout the room.
You can download the Sony Music Center app to set sleep timers remotely and control lights and sounds in a variety of ways.
There is also a light in the glass tube that can be controlled with 32 different brightness levels via the touch sensor. This means that the housing can be used as a bedside lamp or as a substitute for a candle at the dining table.
Users can activate Bright Mode, Delicate Mode or Candle Mode with precise lighting that flashes like a candle. There is also a pulse mode to synchronize the brightness of the light with the time of the music.
As the name suggests, the LSPX-S3 is Sony's third product in this unusual shape, and it's also the cheapest to date.
The original LSPX-S1 was priced at $799 after it was introduced in 2016, while the LSPX-S2 was priced at $449.
The third-generation subwoofer is still priced at $349.

In addition to the high-end glass speakers, the LSPX-S3 is also equipped with high-end mid-range tweeters for low frequencies.
The battery lasts up to 8 hours, is charged via USB-C and supports the Sony LDAC codec.
Sony also recommends that the design of the speakers should not only be stylish, but also consider the environment. To this end, the company states that less than 5% of its packaging materials are plastic.
You can also connect two devices to play with stereo sound. It can be part of a multi-room audio system. In addition to this, the headset also has a built-in microphone and a metal base for making calls.
Sony's new glass speakers will be available to order from August.
