| New leaks about the iPhone 13 |
Recently leaked images of the iPhone 13 suggest that it has a larger bezel for the rear camera, with the lens positioned diagonally so that users can take better wide-angle and magnified photos.
Screenshots of fake cell phones have been posted on the Chinese social network website Weibo. One of the models has a diagonal lens. The previous models are arranged vertically.
As in the previous version, the image display has slightly smaller protrusions.
The report states that in addition to moving the earpiece to the top of the phone, Apple was able to reduce the size of the TrueDepth camera system used in FaceID.
Additional requirements for the next iPhone in the fall are a slightly larger rear view camera, a 2.5x telephoto zoom and a wide-angle lens upgrade.
According to reports, the camera frame size of the iPhone 13 is f1.8, which is less than the f2.4 of the iPhone 12.
A smaller aperture means more light gets in, resulting in dynamic images and better depth of field, and it's also suitable for shooting in low light conditions (eg at night).
The improvements could include all four supposed models, namely the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The lens also includes autofocus and OIS which helps compensate for camera shake. I don't know if the same tech hit the front camera.
The OIS function appears on the telephoto lens of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the OIS function is available in both wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses.

With thicker protrusions, this allows the lens to stay in line with the surface instead of sticking to the outside like before.
While this may be purely cosmetic, part of the reason may be to allow more openness and add OIS. There are also portrait video modes and astrophotography modes for capturing the night sky.
With no official specifications released by Apple, everything about the upcoming iPhone is still speculation, including the name.
Leaker John Prosser (John Prosser) said in January that Apple could call the new iPhone 12s.
In the past, Apple released the iPhone 4s after the iPhone 4. The same goes for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6. It has since been discontinued.
