Electric bike made by BMW CE 04 |
Germany's BMW has announced a consumer version of the CE 04 electric bike.
The German company has been talking about its desire to make and sell an aggressive city electric bike for years.
The CE 04 electric bike is aimed at city cyclists and is equipped with a 10.25 inch LCD screen with a range of 130 kilometers and a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
BMW e-bikes will hit the market in 2022 and cost around $16,000.
The German automaker has announced that its CE 04 motorcycle division will start producing e-bikes.
The electric bike appeared as a prototype in November 2020. It is a reinvention of another concept that the German company launched in 2017.
The bright orange tone and angular lines give the CE 04 a sci-fi feel like its conceptual predecessors, rather than underestimating the design to appeal to a wide range of buyers.
This bike has an 8.9 kW battery that is based on the same battery that powers the new iX. This provides a maximum power of 31 kW (42 hp).
As a result, electric bikes are ideal for the short daily trips that people usually take in cities. There are many braking applications that provide a good opportunity to use regenerative braking to recharge the battery.

Automatic stability control, dynamic traction control and anti-lock technology help the driver control their speed.
The 10.25-inch screen between the steering wheels provides portability and smartphone connectivity. The bike has a cell phone charging compartment with a USB-C charging port.
This bike has a new design that aims to attract people interested in electric cars. But they may not have the money or the space to buy electric cars.
It can be charged using a wall socket or a regular cord, and the company claims that after a full charge, it can be charged quickly in 1 hour 40 minutes using a level 3 power outlet.
If you don't have the required charging connection, you can charge your bike from a regular household socket in 4 hours 20 minutes.
