Windows 11 delivers significant performance improvements |
After a copy of the new operating system was leaked this week, Microsoft will launch Windows 11 next week.
One user talked about the performance of Windows 11 with significant improvements to Windows 10.
A YouTuber posted a similar video for these two operating systems claiming that they are using the official version of Windows 11.
Although the version used is 21996.1, it is distinctly different as it has some features not found in the leaked version.
The notebook used is equipped with an Intel Core i7-10875H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super.
According to the video, the start time is shorter from 16 seconds to 13 seconds. In general, this is a good sign of the performance of Windows 11.
One of his tests was Time Spy in 3DMark, which went from 6872 to 7613.
Windows 11 introduced performance improvements:
This is an improvement over the CPU and GPU. GPU score increased from 6927 to 7426 and CPU score from 6573 to 8886.
The results are also good on the CrystalDiskMark memory test.
In Geekbench, single-core performance increased from 1138 on Windows 10 to 1251 on Windows 11. Multi-core score increased from 6284 to 7444.
It looks like Microsoft is adding a new power management feature. The YouTuber I tested uninstalled any ASUS software that could control the fan, so everything that happens there is controlled by the operating system.
Note that the fan worked differently during the test. The cooler the CPU and GPU, the better the performance.
But the temperature does not seem to reflect this. When I turned on 3DMark, it turned out to be much warmer, but the fan runs more powerfully and smoothly.
Next week, Microsoft is set to talk about performance at the official launch of Windows 11.
