| Samsung launches laptops with Snapdragon processors |
Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book Go 5G, two similar but different laptops.
The former uses the recently introduced Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 chipset by Qualcomm, while the latter uses the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2. This is supposed to replace Samsung's own Exynos processor.
"PCs continue to support our digital lives, helping us connect with friends and family, work remotely, and find ways to be creative," Samsung said.
She added, "The Galaxy Book Go series is designed for today's mobile phone users. Who expects seamless connectivity, lasting productivity, and immersive entertainment all in one device.
With the new members of the Galaxy Book, Samsung is giving its customers more options to choose the device that best suits their needs.
Cellular connections are an important feature of these laptops, hence the word Go.
Today, Samsung produces 4G and 5G laptops entirely with the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Flex 2.
With ARM, the cellular modem is integrated into the chipset, so that although the base model Galaxy Book Go has wireless functionality only, it can be implemented at a lower price.

The computer starts at $349 and comes with the updated Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor that Qualcomm announced last month.
Plus 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM. and 64 GB or 128 GB of eUFS storage.
In addition to a 14-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels, the thickness of the laptop is 14.9 mm and its weight is 1.38 kg.
The 42.3W computer battery is said to last for a long time. Connections have two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port.
It might be the first Windows device to have an ARM processor and an outdated USB port. It also has a 3.5mm audio port and a microSD slot.
Samsung Galaxy phones can be easily connected to the Microsoft Your Phone app using Link to Windows.
You can also mirror the screen and install Android apps. You can also extend the screen to the Galaxy Tab S7.
Galaxy Book Go will start at $349 this month. The Galaxy Book Go 5G will hit the market later this year.
