Samsung is developing the Exynos chip with ray tracing functionality |
AMD and Samsung teamed up to provide Exynos RDNA 2 graphics technology. This could improve the GPU performance of Samsung's flagship phones.
It was announced at the Computex conference in 2021 after multiple leaks about Samsung's collaboration with AMD in introducing RDNA 2 in the flagship Exynos chip. But it was popular at the time.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that Samsung has collaborated with AMD as the two companies worked together in 2019.

Collaboration between Samsung and AMD:
AMD gave a speech at the Computex 2021 conference to learn more about the upcoming Exynos chips with AMD graphics cards.
It said, "AMD is collaborating with Samsung to develop the next generation of Exynos chips, which includes a dedicated graphics architecture based on AMD RDNA 2 architecture."
AMD RDNA 2 architecture provides variable ray tracing and shading for important mobile devices.
Although the company has not revealed any other details about the collaboration, it has discussed how Samsung will release more details about the new 5G chipset later this year.
Check out the release, the successor to the Exynos 2100 chipset will be seen later this year.
It also means that we can start predicting AMD-powered Galaxy S devices from the first half of 2022.
There are also rumors that Exynos 2200 laptops with AMD graphics may appear earlier this year.
It remains unclear if the AMD and Samsung collaboration will give the Exynos series the much-needed boost.
Graphics performance has always been the weakest point of Samsung's internal Exynos chipset.
So, with the help of AMD graphics, ray tracing, variable rate shading, and other technologies may soon change this situation.
