Microsoft is preparing Windows 11 for a post-pandemic world |
Microsoft will launch the next major version of Windows on Thursday, along with new features for modern living. That was after the coronavirus irreversibly changed the way we live and work. Our equipment may also change soon.
And Windows 11 has the regular upgrades you can expect six years from now. The first leaks suggest that it will have a new look that features more subtle pastel colors, rounded corners, and good sapphire.
It contains tools that tell you the weather or track shipping packages. In addition to the usual start menu, the application icons are arranged in the middle and look as if they were inspired by a smartphone, tablet or Mac.
But the biggest change will be invisible. Microsoft should upgrade Windows PCs to a new world where people can not only work in the office but also work at home on personal devices.
When CEO Satya Nadella mocked the new Windows last month, he talked about the nature of the upgrade.
"When the store is closed, it helps us reimagine where people go and what we can do, away from time and even space, and that's just the beginning," he says.
It seems cliched to think that operating systems can change our lives. However, with vaccines becoming available around the world, people are looking to the future.
Employers also find that their employees do not want to go back to the office, but want to work in a flexible living environment.
Windows 11 in a post-pandemic world:
Microsoft has developed technologies like Timeline over the past few years. This makes it easier for users to switch to another computer and open all the documents and windows they use.
In the new world, Microsoft may find ways to direct these kinds of features to people who have computers in the office and at home.
More and more data shows it. Although the entire tech industry is running out of chips and other supplies. Analysts believe that laptops and desktop computers may see the highest sales this year.
With that in mind, Microsoft's decision to market Windows 11 as a major upgrade could help the industry respond to these trends. The new computer design emphasizes the new look and feel of Windows 11 and the ability to work anytime, anywhere.
Microsoft won't just update Windows. The company also hopes to address long-standing concerns about the behavior of its computers.
Hopefully, Microsoft can fix the Settings app that can rival the Control Panel to change the functionality of your Windows PC.
Other Windows users have always hoped that Microsoft would change the way it gets and installs updates. It was always a difficult process.
Security updates and fixes in 2021 should take no more than 20 minutes and should coincide with updating your Mac, iPad, and even iPhone.
Microsoft should take this opportunity to resolve some known but unacknowledged complaints.
Regardless, the company believes that Windows 11 has lived up to expectations, and shortly after the updated version of Windows 11 was leaked online, the company wrote on Twitter: It's just the beginning.
