| Facebook has grown to a trillion dollars |
Facebook's market cap closed for the first time at more than $1,000 billion. According to data from Yahoo Finance, the company's market capitalization is currently $1.08 trillion.
The most important parts are the Facebook platform itself and Messenger as well as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus.
This social media company is the fifth American company to achieve this feat. So he turned to Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet.

Most notably the Cambridge Analytica scandal, the data company that inappropriately accessed the data of 87 million Facebook users during the 2016 presidential election and used it to target Donald Trump's ads.
Despite the scandal, Facebook managed to restore and expand its user base and steadily increase its average revenue per user. Since July 27, 2018, the stock price is now up more than 90%.
