At Amazon's Laboratory for Advanced Technology and Robotics, team members test new technology for moving bags, carts, and packages around company facilities to improve employee safety at work.
Some of the tested innovations combine advanced technologies with simple solutions to achieve potential safety benefits.
An ongoing development project includes the use of motion capture technology to assess volunteer movement in the laboratory environment.
These employees perform many common tasks on Amazon's systems, such as: b- Transfer bags containing products with automated distribution centers.
Motion capture software allows Amazon scientists and researchers to compare more accurate data in lab settings with industry standards, rather than other modeling tools traditionally used by experts in the workplace.
