Amazon Prime Day starts June 21 21 |
Amazon has officially announced that the company's annual shopping event, Amazon Prime Membership Day, will take place on Monday, June 21-22.
The company always holds an annual trade event in mid-July. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, last year's event was postponed to October.
In its latest earnings report, Amazon previously confirmed that this year's Prime Day will take place in the second quarter.
As in previous years, you'll get discounts on wireless headphones, TVs of all sizes and genres, video games, and more.
Prime Day has grown into one of the best opportunities to close a deal.
According to Amazon, this year's Prime Day event includes millions of transactions from major brands and over a million transactions from small and medium-sized businesses.
The e-commerce giant has announced that it will invest more than $100 million to help small businesses during its Prime Day event.
When Prime members spend $10 on select Amazon small businesses between June 7 and June 20, they'll receive $10 in points that can be used during the Prime Day event.
During the event, the company made use of Amazon's live streaming platform, through which the brand focused on showcasing a variety of products.
Amazon Prime Membership Day:
This achievement represents the company's main source of income, with the company's first quarter net sales of $108.5 billion.
The event offers exclusive discounts on Amazon devices, apparel, electronics, and many other consumer goods.
Outside sellers alone earned more than $3.5 billion in the two-day event last year. However, the e-commerce giant has not provided any information on total sales.
Amazon is using Global Shopping to retain Prime subscribers, which now number more than 200 million. In addition to increasing sales during times that merchants generally consider to be slow.
This year's Prime Membership Day was also celebrated during Amazon's transformation phase.
For example, the current CEO of the AWS division, Andy Gacy (Andy Gacy), will become the CEO of Amazon on July 5.
In addition, the company recently announced a plan to acquire MGM for $8.45 billion, strengthening the company's entertainment operations. And they can help develop their video library on Amazon Prime.
