Xiaomi has showcased the latest in fast charging technology. So you need both wired and wireless charging speeds to break world records.
Xiaomi uses an updated Mi 11 Pro with a 4000 mAh battery.
According to Xiaomi, the phone can be fully charged in 8 minutes thanks to its 200W HyperCharge wired system. Or, you can use 120W wireless charging in 15 minutes.
The company demonstrated its new technology in a video. The video shows that the new wired charger can charge 50% of the battery in 3 minutes. The wireless charger can do the same in 7 minutes.
Both are chargers at the level of the current concept. However, given the advanced charging technology in the industry, it is not surprising that they will soon be used in consumer products.
Download speed is the battlefield between Chinese smartphone companies. These companies usually publish piracy information that may or may not be included in the final product.
For example, two years ago Xiaomi announced the launch of a 100-watt system that could charge a 4,000 mAh battery in 17 minutes.
Although the Mi 10 Ultra had a larger 4,500mAh battery last year, it shipped in 23 minutes with a 120W charging capacity.
Oppo is another pioneer in this field with its VOOC technology forming the basis for the OnePlus Dash and Warp fast charging systems.
Last year, it showed a 125W system that could charge a 4,000mAh battery in 20 minutes.
Despite this, more than a year after Xiaomi announced that the fastest 100W charger and Find X3 Pro were sold for 65W after a year.
The idea of a breakthrough in this area is generally welcomed, and the idea of being able to fully charge a cell phone in eight minutes is pretty cool.
It should be noted, however, that these fast charging systems still require commercially available chargers and cables. Therefore, they are used mainly at home, and not in emergency situations that can be of great benefit.
Plus, the ability of a particular cell phone to keep the battery running throughout the day is always the most important factor.
