SpaceX and Google signed a contract with Starlink

Google has signed an agreement with Elon Musk's subsidiary SpaceX to take advantage of the growing satellite internet service from the space company Starlink and its cloud computing division.

SpaceX installs Starlink terminals in Google Cloud data centers around the world. The goal is to use the cloud for Starlink customers and to give Google the opportunity to use fast satellite internet for its corporate cloud customers.

Google said in a press release: The potential of Starlink's business with its cloud division includes the secure transfer of data to remote parts of the world, which will be available to customers by the end of 2021.

A SpaceX spokesperson said: The company is installing its first Starlink station in its data center New Albany, Ohio, adding that more partnership plans will be shared in the coming months.

The deal represents the natural alliance between SpaceX and Google, with the latter investing nearly $ 900 million in airlines in 2015 to cover a range of technologies, including the manufacture of Starlink satellites.

To date, SpaceX has launched 1,625 Starlink satellites, about 1,550 of which are in orbit.

Starlink beta, launched last year, has at least 10,000 users in the United States, Canada, and some European countries.

Potential clients have made as few as 500,000 deposits of $ 100 for the service.

Competition between Starlink and Amazon Project Kuiper increased. The goal is to launch more than 3,000 satellites in roughly the same orbit as Starlink to provide high-speed global internet.

SpaceX's contract with Google is another win for Google in the competition with Amazon's massive AWS Cloud Services division.

Amazon executives said their goal is to leverage Project Kuiper Internet connectivity to improve AWS cloud services.

Google said in a press release: "Applications and services that run in cloud computing can be transformative for companies, whether they are in a highly connected environment or in a remote environment."

She added: We are excited to work with SpaceX to ensure businesses can easily, safely and quickly access the critical applications and services they need to keep the team running smoothly.

SpaceX said in a press release that the deal with Google includes providing internet data to companies, public sector organizations and many other groups around the world.

She added: Starlink's high-speed broadband and low latency combined with infrastructure and functionality from Google provide global businesses with the secure and fast connections that modern businesses expect.

Microsoft operates another giant cloud service called Azure, which also competes with Amazon AWS and entered into a partnership with SpaceX last year.
