Sony allows DualSense to be used with Apple devices |
Sony announced that after upgrading to the latest version of the PS Remote Play app for iOS, every Apple platform with the latest operating system will support the new DualShock controller on the PS5.
This includes iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV with 14.5, and Macs with macOS Big Sur 11.3.
You can use Sony's PS Remote Play app to move your PS5 or PS4 to another room in your home, or to play the game on a Mac or Windows, Android or iOS device, or even an old PS4 game.
Until recently, you could only remote control your PS5 with your old DualShock 4 controller. However, this has changed.
Although this has changed, you will not get the full remote reading experience with a newer joystick.
You can enjoy games with adaptive triggers, and triggers must be powered through iOS devices, but the appearance of the buttons can be very good or bad.
Since haptic feedback can improve the gaming experience, the lack of haptic feedback makes some games less exciting than using this feature.
In addition, the built-in DualSense microphone, headphone jack and speakerphone will not work for remote operation
Every time you switch devices, you have to manually pair DualSense again, and the stream quality depends largely on your home wireless network.
You can connect your DualSense controller to your iPhone or iPad in the following ways: Open the Settings app on your iOS device and switch to Bluetooth. Then press and hold the Share and PS buttons on the DualSense controller for at least three seconds until the light bar flashes blue.
Next, under the "Other devices" option, you need to click on the iPhone or iPad on the PS5 DualSense controller and then click on the word "right."
It is reported that Android users can also use the Sony Remote Play app, but the current Android version only supports DualShock 4.
