Slack is one of its most annoying features

Slack online collaboration platform seems to have finally solved one of the most annoying features of the web and mobile app version.

Slack added a little new feature so that when setting status (for example in a meeting or out of office), you can check the box in the same menu to hold notifications while status is running.

This change should prevent pop-ups and warnings from annoying or disturbing users during conference calls, interviews, or even out of the office.

In the past, turning off notifications in Slack required scrolling through a separate menu. However, this new feature allows users to quickly toggle alerts on and off.

The company said: This feature is currently rolling out to all users so you should see it ASAP.

If you want to see if it is installed, go to the "Set Status" menu, and enter "What is your status?" A and look in the "after deletion" list for.

You should see a checkbox titled "Stop Notification". If you select it and save the status, you will not receive a notification once the status is activated.

The company has made several Slack upgrades and updates over the past few months to keep up with competitors like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Earlier this year, the platform added several new features for audio as it aims to provide more and more ways for users to stay connected at work.

This includes the ability to leave voicemail messages for contacts through services to remove traditional voicemail.

Slack will be looking to add chat rooms soon. Users can quickly enter and exit chat rooms without setting an official meeting time or making a phone call similar to the popular Clubhouse app.

Slack has also added similar stories to Instagram and Facebook, although it's not yet clear how this feature fits into the platform's workplace approach.
