Logitech launches a blackboard camera that hides the presenter |
As companies like Google prepare to bring at least some of their employees into the office, Logitech is launching a white camera that allows employees to collaborate with colleagues on remote locations.
Logitech's new tool, Scribe, uses enhanced artificial intelligence software to make the presenter transparent so presentation viewers can easily see the blackboard.
The whiteboard camera can also automatically recognize notes and adjust shading color, which is useful for offices and mixed classrooms.
Scribe is Logitech's answer to a sporadic whiteboard session and simulation that allows virtual meeting attendees to view the whiteboard in real time.
Logitech's AI camera makes the presenter transparent and automatically boosts the surroundings, making the surrounding easier to read. Scribe products can also recognize non-digital content such as notes.
"We have focused heavily on addressing the issue of providing high-quality audio and video collaboration in conference rooms and remote desktop computers, but there are still gaps in integrating non-digital content (such as whiteboards) into virtual meetings," the company said. .
"Logitech's Scribe solution uses a method people are familiar with: draw a marker on the blackboard and draw a picture," she added. Thanks to compatibility with the most popular cloud services, we can now improve the level of collaborative, non-digital content that anyone can see and define, while still being easy to use and share.
Each Scribe comes with a number of mounting components that allow you to mount it to the wall, as well as any cables required to install and operate.
Scribe products are now available in select markets starting at $ 1,199. The camera is currently compatible with Microsoft Teams Room through Windows and Zoom Rooms, and will support Zoom devices after its release.
For most other video conferencing services, Logitech states that when the recorder is connected to a desktop or laptop computer, it can also act as a standalone USB content camera.
Logitech manufactures accessories and peripherals, including keyboards, headphones, cameras, and video conferencing equipment. During the pandemic and the transition to remote work and e-learning, sales of core product lines have grown dramatically.
