Facebook is facing problems due to its supervisory practices

After a moderator told the Irish Parliamentary Committee that the social media giant had not taken sufficient measures to prevent moderators from displaying violent and harassing content on the platform, Facebook again faced the question of how to deal with moderators of the content.

Isabella Plunkett currently works for Covalen, an Irish outsourcing company that hires content moderators as contract employees. He told the committee that self-employed supervisors lack adequate mental health resources.

Covalen provides an hour and a half of healthy time per week because the health coaches the company provides are not mental health professionals and are unable to help managers deal with the traumatic content they deal with so often.

Brinkite told the committee that these health coaches sometimes suggest activities like painting or karaoke.

"The genetic content affects everyone. After witnessing the violent events filmed seven to eight hours a day, no one can accept it," Banquett said at a press conference after the meeting.

She stated that her boss should enjoy the benefits and protections that real Facebook employees enjoy, including paid sick leave and the ability to work from home.

Blanket also increased Facebook's reliance on nondisclosure agreements, adding to an atmosphere of fear and preventing hosts from speaking or seeking outside help.

A Facebook spokesperson said in a statement: The company is committed to working with partners to support the people who comment on the content, and anyone commenting on the content via Facebook has received and can receive an extensive training program on our community standards receiving this support that guarantees their health.

He added: In Ireland, this includes around-the-clock support on site including trained practitioners, on-demand services and access to private healthcare from the first day of employment, and we also use solutions technologies to curb. You are exposed to potential graphic material because we are doing our best to correct it.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that these issues have been addressed and that content moderators spend a lot of time searching for the worst working conditions for content on the platform. Facebook has always been a problem for Facebook. Facebook relies on non-employees around the world.

Last year, the company entered into a $ 52 million settlement agreement with US executives who said their work caused PTSD and other mental health problems.
