Citroen shows the Ami Cargo delivery truck |
Citroen's inexpensive electric Ami gets a new van model for urban delivery drivers.
As the name suggests, the Ami Cargo can offer the same built-in storage, but the price is slightly higher at $ 29 a month.
The French automaker created more space by replacing the standard bag with a trunk holding 400 liters or more than 140 kg.
On the back there is also a closed storage box for storing valuables like smartphones, tablets, small laptops, and tickets.
The original two-seat car has been converted into a single seat, with a clear separation between the driver's seat and the cargo area.
The company said: The Ami Cargo takes inspiration from the individually designed version and maintains the idea of driving the Ami design because it has a small appearance and a large interior.
The Citron delivery truck has a flat floor and two height adjusters that allow you to haul tall objects up to 1.2 meters in height.
There is also a modular shelf that can be used as a desk in case you need to take a break or work during the handover.
Citroën said the truck was designed for delivery.
With retailers like Amazon using sustainable vehicles for their fleets, the new Ami Cargo could be ideal for urban express businesses as well as grocery and grocery stores.
Since the Ami Cargo is small enough to allow a 14-year-old to drive without a full license, no license is required in France.
Barring the extra space, the Ami Cargo is similar in size and performance to the original Ami.
The car is equipped with a 6 kW electric motor and a 5.5 kW lithium-ion battery that can be charged in just three hours from a 220V household socket.
The new model has a size of 2.4 x 1.4 meters and is ideal for tight parking spaces and city trips with a range of 75 kilometers and a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour.
As part of its long-term lease agreement in France, Ami Cargo starts at $ 7,821, or $ 29 per month, and Ami Cargo plans to go public in early June.
