Asus launches Zephyrus M16 with Tiger Lake H-Chip

Asus has released the new Zephyrus M16, which is paired with the latest 11th generation Tiger Lake H processor and can be configured on a Core i9-11900H.

There's also the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 GPU, which can be configured up to GeForce RTX 3070.

The device has a QHD screen, a 165Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and supports adaptive synchronization and a 3ms response time.

It is unusual to see an aspect ratio of 16:10 on gaming laptops because it is more common in business and productivity devices because it provides additional vertical space.

ASUS hopes that the new look will help the Zephyrus product line attract other content creators and customers looking for hardware that can perform and be more productive as well as support for games.

The company's IT Marketing Director said, "The Zephyrus M16 brings gaming laptops to audiences who have never thought of gaming laptops."

The Zephyrus M16 has a screen-to-body ratio of 94%, which means that the Zephyrus M16 has a smaller frame than the Dell XPS 15 and all the other popular laptops on the market.

For comparison, the Razer Blade 15 has a screen-to-body ratio of just over 80%.

The Zephyrus M16 is the most expensive of the G series, and Intel chips have creator-like features, including Thunderbolt and Quick Sync, and a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Intel and Asus have worked closely to bring several modern features to the Zephyrus M16, including Dolby Atmos audio with Intel Smart Sound Technology driver and Hybrid MS mode.

Intel estimates that the performance these processors provide is sufficient to power QHD displays at a refresh rate of 165Hz.

According to Intel, the new Tiger Lake chip excels in multi-threaded workloads and outperforms its competitor in battery life, which is critical to the Zephyrus M16 target audience.

The device's body is 19.9 mm thick and weighs 1.9 kg. It is the successor to last year's Zephyrus M15.

The computer features a design language similar to the current model, including CNC machined holes in the case and the prism sheet below it.

Unlike the current ASUS Zephyrus model, the Zephyrus M16 has an integrated webcam. Other notable features are RGB keyboard with backlit, Ergolift hinge that can open the screen up to 180 degrees, liquid metal thermocouple that enables high performance even in harsh environments and a system of six speakers with Dolby Atmos technology ensures 3D array microphone and two-way AI system To reduce noise.
