The Pixel 5A camera sample shows the specifications |
It appears that Google has mistakenly shared sample photos of its upcoming Pixel 5A phone and provided advice to users on what to expect from devices that haven't yet started.
Photo featured in post photo album along with google blog post about HDR + bracket for noise reduction in HDR photos.
Standard EXIF data shows that most of the images taken by current Pixel phones, including the Pixel 5, Pixel 4A 5G, Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, are clearly a picture taken on the Pixel 5A.
Google recently confirmed the existence of the Pixel 5A 5G in response to rumors of the device being canceled.
Other than confirmation that the device will be available later this year in the US and Japan, no more detailed information has been provided about the phone or camera specifications.
The photo tagged by Pixel 5A has since been removed from the album, but it contains a lot of details about the camera's performance on the next device.
It appears to have been photographed with an ultra-wide angle lens, confirming previous reports that the Pixel 5A has two rear lenses: the main lens and the ultra-wide angle lens.
This setting is similar to that of the Pixel 4A 5G, while the Pixel 4A has only a rear camera.
EXIF data shows a resolution of 12.2 megapixels, which is comparable to photos taken with Pixel 5 phones.
While the Pixel 5's wide camera sensor is technically 16MP, 12.2MP photos are generated by default.
The EXIF data for the upcoming phone also shows that it has the same f / 2.2 aperture as the Pixel 5.
Since photos are attached to the article about HDR + bracket, it is clear that the next device will support this technology.
Combined with previous rumors, the Pixel 5A appears to be very similar to last year's Pixel 5.
The report states that it uses the same Snapdragon 765G processor and has a similar design with a 6.2 inch OLED screen and a front camera hole.
The back should be plastic instead of glass, and the phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
According to EXIF data for the leaked image, it was taken in October last year before the Pixel 5 was released.
