| Telegram to start a group video call in May |
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced that the iOS version of the platform was updated to support video conferencing in May.
The company originally planned to add the feature to its email service sometime in 2020, but the feature was never implemented.
In the new year, Telegram can add end-to-end encrypted video calls after previously adding group voice chat in August 2020.
Dorov announced the new release date and shared the news on his personal Telegram channel.
