Surface Laptop 4 coming soon |
There were many rumors about the Surface Notebook 4 and Surface Headphone 2 in April, and new Microsoft support documents incorrectly confirmed these reports.
Before that, there were a lot of rumors about the Surface Laptop 4, including specs and benchmarks for Intel and AMD processors.
The company plans to announce a hypothetical event in the third or fourth week of April with the announcement of Surface Laptop 4.
Additional instructions for the next generation of Microsoft devices can be found on two download pages: Intel Firmware and AMD Firmware. The firmware page also confirms that the Surface line of laptops includes AMD and Intel options.
Microsoft's support page didn't provide more detailed information about the laptop, but a report that WinFuture published last month provided detailed information.
The report indicated that the AMD processors in use will be the Ryzen 4000 series, including the Ryzen 5 4680U and Ryzen 7 4980U.
Compared to the Ryzen 3000 series of processors used on Surface Laptop 3 in 2019, these are an evolution, but I'm not sure why the company is dumping AMD's new Ryzen 5000 processors.
On Intel's side, it is assumed that there are 11th generation chipsets like Core i5-1145G7 and Core i7-1185G7 with integrated Xe graphics.
Otherwise, we can say: the technical data and appearance of Surface Laptop 4 are very similar to previous models.
Obviously, two 13.5-inch and 15-inch models are available with a maximum of 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage space, while the screen maintains an aspect ratio of 3: 2.
Microsoft has yet to make an official announcement regarding the release date of its new laptop. However, since the support page has already been shown, the post will not be indefinite.
