Samsung launches Galaxy M42 5G |
Samsung today released the cheapest 5G compatible smartphone Galaxy M42 5G in India.
The device is a revamped version of the Galaxy A42 5G that was launched worldwide in October 2020. The change is the increased RAM capacity.
The phone has a Snapdragon 750G SoC, a quad camera on the back and a 48MP primary lens.
Samsung has equipped the device with Samsung Knox security system and has a teardrop-shaped notch in the front. The phone supports NFC technology that also enables Samsung Pay.
The Galaxy M42 5G offers a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with HD + resolution.
The device has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to a terabyte with a microSD card slot.
On the back of the phone there is a quad camera with a 48MP ISOCELL GM2 sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor.
The Galaxy M42 5G camera is equipped with functions such as single-shot, night mode, ultra-time-lapse recording, super slow motion, scene optimization and error detection. There is a 20-megapixel front camera.
The Galaxy M42 5G has a 5000 mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging.
The phone offers 36 hours of talk time, 22 hours of web browsing and 34 hours of video playback on a single charge, and has Samsung Knox and Samsung Pay security features.
The phone is available in black and gray and will go on sale on the first of May. The 6/128 GB version is $ 295, and the 8/128 GB version is $ 322.
