Reon Pocket 2: Sony portable air conditioner |
Sony launched the Reon Pocket 2, a portable air conditioner that can be used with a smartphone app to cool or heat the surface of the body contact.
The Reon Pocket 2 looks like the original Reon Pocket, which was launched last year after co-financing through the company's platform.
Although the newly designed interior space is smaller in size and weight, double heat absorption can be achieved, thus achieving better heat dissipation performance.
In addition, stainless steel, which has high strength and promotes cold transmission, is used for hot and cold parts that come into contact with the surface of the body.
According to Sony, the product has improved the sweat resistance of the second-generation product, making it more suitable for light exercise.
Previous models were mainly sold as wearable goods with special underwear to make summer commuting more comfortable. However, Sony has focused on the more diverse use cases, particularly golf, outdoor and business.
The company has partnered with sportswear brands such as Le Coq Sportif, Munsingwear and Descente to produce a range of golf wear with gear bags.
Sony has also designed a neck strap attachment so that the Reon Pocket 2 can be used with regular clothing after purchasing a Sony undershirt.
The device uses thermoelectric cooling technology and is connected to the smart application via bluetooth via a mobile phone for instant cooling or heating. This will increase or decrease the temperature as the device can absorb or generate heat.
Reon Pocket 2 launched in Japan today for 14,850 yen (roughly $ 138) and there's nowhere else to post the information.
