| Microsoft is working to fix Windows 10 app classification issue |
If you are a Microsoft Windows 10 user and you use multiple screens to play or work, there are times when apps will randomly rearrange when you wake up from sleep mode.
There have been a few different ways to fix this problem over the years, but Microsoft has finally fixed the problem and will fix it in the next Windows 10 update.
When the computer wakes from sleep mode, a problem occurs because all the apps on the secondary screen suddenly appear on the primary screen.
Michael Cheung, Program Manager for Microsoft Graphics Team, stated, “This issue is described as (Fast HPD). This behavior affects many DisplayPort settings and results in unnecessary desktop rearranges.
This problem is especially annoying if you are using a laptop with a secondary screen, or if the extra screen goes into deep sleep and Windows 10 thinks it is not connected to the Internet.
After that, Windows 10 will move all the apps to another screen and you will have to pull them all out manually.
Microsoft is working to prevent Rapid HPD from renewing Windows 10 apps and plans to release a major Windows 10 update later this year.
You must join the Windows Insider Program and use build 21287 or later to get new features.
If you connect to one or more external displays using a laptop or connect to two monitors using a desktop, this feature should work by default.
Microsoft is expected to release this latest update in October.
Microsoft's next major update for Windows 10 later this year also includes major audio improvements.
The operating system supports advanced AAC audio codec via Bluetooth which gives users more options for Bluetooth headphones and speakers.
Windows has long supported the SBC and AptX codecs over Bluetooth. However, AAC support also improves audio quality from Apple and headphones through iTunes or Windows Apple Music.
Apple previously hired engineers to create next-generation multimedia applications for the Windows operating system. AAC support is a solid upgrade to any potential Apple Music app or browser stream.
Microsoft is also working to change the definition of the Bluetooth entry in Windows 10.
Currently, when you click on the sound menu in the system tray, you will see multiple accounts for all headphones and speakers connected to the device.
Listening to music or wanting to talk to someone can be overwhelming to try to figure out what to click.
From now on, Windows 10 will automatically switch to the correct Bluetooth account. All you have to do is select the device from which you want to hear all the sounds.
