General Motors launches the Ultium Charge 360 charging solution |
General Motors Corporation (General Motors Corporation) announced a fully electric vehicle charging method called "Ultium Charge 360".
The easier it is to charge an electric vehicle, the more likely it is that people will choose the next electric vehicle.
Just as Ford has done with its FordPass network, the Ultium Charge 360 integrates GM vehicle applications and software with several third-party transportation services such as Blink, ChargePoint, EVgo, Flo, Greenlots, and SemaConnect.
This method aims to create a seamless experience that allows the owner of a GM electric vehicle to go to the terminal, plug in their vehicle, and start charging without having to deal with multiple applications or external members.
The company said: The introduction of electric cars is not only limited to buying cars and owning a huge network. Our mission is to help everyone overcome and overcome their fears. Get electric cars in the easiest way possible.
Unlike Tesla or Volkswagen, GM does not have its own charging system, and GM car owners will have to rely on an array of third-party chargers. Each shipper has its own plan and membership terms.
The US electric car charging industry is in chaos, with damaged chargers, broken cables, and unreliable cards.
While GM cannot solve some of the more difficult problems, GM has done everything possible to reduce the difficulty of loading.
General Motors said it plans to simplify the charging experience by working on the Ultium Charge 360 project with seven charging systems to facilitate driver access to nearly 60,000 points of sale in the United States, the United States and Canada.
The GM mobile app will soon provide real-time information on these locations and help drivers find it. Electric vehicle owners can also use the app to pay tolls.
The company announced a partnership with EVgo to establish 2,700 fast-charging stations for electric cars in cities across the country.
GM has not specified how much money will be invested in building the shipment, and the partnership will not be exclusive, which means GM will not have exclusive use rights.
GM said it had made good strides in partnering with the first terminals in Washington, California and Florida.
General Motors, North America's largest automaker, has pledged to spend $ 27 billion on electric and autonomous cars by 2025.
GM also said: By this time, 30 new electric vehicles will be launched worldwide, with more than two-thirds of them sold in North America.
It has set itself the goal of phasing out its fuel-powered vehicles by 2040 and making it a completely climate neutral company.
The company said: The main functions of the Ultium Charge 360 will be available in September 2021.
