Casio launched the G-Shock smartwatch with Wear OS |
Casio (Casio) launched G-Shock's first rugged smartwatch with Google Wear OS.
The GSW-H1000 is part of Casio's long-running G-Squad Pro series with various sporting functions and the first G-Shock watch with a color display.
As you'd expect from a G-Shock watch, the GSW-H1000 has a rugged look and a titanium alloy back that increases durability, withstands impacts to a depth of 200 meters, and survives underwater.
This watch is equipped with a dual layer display with an always-on LCD and a 1.2 '' color LCD to display the time. It also comes with Wear OS, which can be used to display maps, notifications, sensor data, and other information.
Although Casio uses Wear OS in the Pro Trek series, these additions are the first appearance of G-Shock watches.
The watch also has sensors like built-in GPS, optical heart rate sensor, compass, altitude, barometric pressure and more.
The Casio app also includes 24 indoor sports options and 15 activities, including extreme sports like running, mountain biking, swimming or surfing, and snowboarding.
At the same time, you can access smartphone notifications, various apps, and Google Assistant via Wear OS.
As the flagship of the G-SQUAD Sports Series, the GSW-H1000 can be used in various sporting events.
The screen has a 3-level layout interface that users can customize to achieve their goals.
However, one of the biggest drawbacks is the battery life: on a color screen, the battery life can reach 1.5 days, but in mode it can be extended to a month. Normal view.
The Casio G-Squad Pro GSW-H1000 is available in red, black and blue colors and is priced at $ 700 in the US and $ 600 in the UK.
It is expected to arrive in mid-May, and although it hasn't been released on the G-Shock site in the US yet, you can find it on the UK website and request a notification upon its arrival.
