Audi launches the e-tron Q4 electric vehicle |
Audi has released series versions of the German brand's latest e-tron Q4 and e-tron Q4 Sportsback SUV.
The Audi electric range is expected to expand into a new, cheaper class.
The original e-tron Q4 concept car was presented at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
Audi quickly confirmed that the production version of the car would be on the market in late 2020. Interestingly, the electric car could be much larger than the e-tron.
Based on Volkswagen's MEB platform, the Q4 e-tron belongs to the smaller segment of the SUV market, which will lead to lower prices and increased production capacity.
Last month, Audi launched the multifunction interior of the Q4 e-tron and now launched an all-electric car and the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback.
The Q4 dashboard comes in the form of a 10.25-inch screen and paired with a 10.1 or 11.6-inch infotainment screen mounted above the dashboard.
To keep the driver's eyes and the road smooth, the Q4 has audio control and AR-HUD functions that allow driving data and navigation instructions to be broadcast through the windshield.
The Q4 offers front and rear collision warning, adaptive cruise control, exit warning, curb warning, collision avoidance assist, brake and high beam assist, remote parking and 360-degree camera coverage.
Q4 e-tron:
At 4,588 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width and 1,632 mm in height, it is the same as the Audi Q3.
The battery provides batteries with capacity of 55 kWh and 82 kWh.
"The electric model meets the expectations of a completely different customer base, from city trips to long haul trips," said Audi.
The car has two types of batteries and three different types of propulsion.
The Q4 35 is equipped with an 8-cell 52 kWh battery generating 125 kW (167 hp), it reaches 0 to 100 km / h in 9.0 seconds, and can reach speeds between 341 km and 349 km (estimated by WLTP) to 7.2. . kW AC or up to 100 kW DC when charged.
The Q4 40 is equipped with a 77 kWh battery consisting of 12 batteries that can exceed 100 km / h in 8.5 seconds. The maximum controllable speed is 160 km / h, the range is 520 km / h and it can be 11 kW AC or 125 kW. Constant current thanks to the fast charger.
Although the Q4 50 quattro, like the Q4 40, has a 77 kW battery, its two engines can generate 295 hp, a top speed of 180 km / h from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds and a range of 488,497 miles endurance. 11 kW AC or 125 kW DC can be charged quickly with the fast charger.
Audi announced the fourth generation of the e-tron will arrive in Europe in June 2021, and the Sportback version will arrive in Europe in a few months.
The starting price in Germany is 41,900 euros.
Q4 e-tron Sportback:
The technical data for the Sportback Edition is very similar to that of the regular Q4 e-tron, as it has the same drive. However, since the drag coefficient is 0.26 instead of 0.28, the performance is slightly better, especially in terms of efficiency.
A stiffer tail may provide better aerodynamic performance and a slightly sporty design. According to Audi, the Sportback costs 2,000 euros more than the regular version.
