| Audi is using the A6 E-Tron to predict the future of electric cars |
As part of the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, Audi presented the A6 E-Tron concept car, a flat sedan with 22-inch wheels and clean sidewalks, equipped with replacement mirror cameras and no treatment.
The A6 E-Tron is 4.96 meters long, 1.96 meters wide and 1.44 meters high. Dimensions match the proportions of the A7 Sportback.
Audi has added Digital Matrix LED headlights, which means it can also be used as a projector, and Audi has developed a video game on a smartphone that can show the movement of the front wall of a car instead of the movement of the car's central interior screen.
The A6 E-Tron concept uses a wide range of light with digital OLED elements.
The side of the vehicle has an integrated LED display that can display a welcome message to the driver and passengers on the ground and warn the driver that the door is about to open.
There are also four other corner headlights that are used to color the floor with turn signals.
According to Audi, this technology offers virtually unlimited customizable visual variants, including those with 3D spatial effects never before seen in Audi cars.
As expected, the concept car is based on the Premium Platform Electric EV developed by Audi and Porsche.
The A6 E-Tron is equipped with two electric motors, which together can generate 470 hp (350 kW) and 800 Nm of torque.
This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in under four seconds.
This concept vehicle features several specifications ranging from Quattro all-wheel drive to air suspension.
A large battery with a capacity of 100 kW is installed to distribute the weight perfectly between the axles and supports fast charging up to 270 kW.
With only 10 minutes of charging time, more than 300 kilometers and in less than 25 minutes can be covered by 5% to 80%.
When the battery is fully charged, the A6 E-Tron can cover a range of over 700 km.
Audi has not shown the interior design of this concept car, but it has said that the A6 E-Tron is a trailer for an electric model based on the Premium Platform Electric that will be released next year.
