Twitter redesigns TweetDeck |
Twitter confirmed that TweetDeck, a technology that allows you to organize lists and feeds in easy-to-read vertical lines without receiving significant platform updates for ten years, will be completely redesigned.
TweetDeck is another Twitter-owned social media platform. It offers many different functions, such as: b- Multiple column access and Tweet scheduling.
We are currently reviewing TweetDeck, Product Manager Kayvon Beykpour said, and plan to share more information about the project later this year.
As one of the oldest third-party account management apps on the platform, TweetDeck hasn't seen much in terms of design or major feature changes over the years.
It started 12 years ago and was adopted by Twitter in 2011. Initially it was a fairly vertical web viewer of various Twitter feeds.
Twitter has added new features to its flagship website and mobile app while keeping TweetDeck relatively stable.
When Bicbor and the product team found out that they had not paid much attention to TweetDeck, they were actively working on a new redesign, and planned to launch it later that year, that seemed to change.
It's part of a larger effort to improve Twitter's developer tools and improve relationships with app makers, as Twitter has always had differences with the larger developer community.
“Having made a lot of mistakes in the past, we are sure that we can get bonuses with the developers, but we are actively investing in them,” Bikpour said.
Twitter's chief product officer has not revealed any details about the exact changes the team has made. However, Peakpour recommends rebuilding the platform from scratch.
He said: We've been through an overhaul and it's something that we'd love to share publicly this year. This is just one example of a service Twitter owns and operates and we will continue to invest in it.
