OnePlus announced that the first two phones in the OnePlus 9 series, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, will come with Hasselblad cameras.
As expected, the OnePlus 9 Pro is the flagship as it can compete with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the iPhone 12 Pro Max, while the OnePlus 9 is the cheaper product with lower specs.
OnePlus spent a lot of time talking about the camera on the new phone developed in partnership with Hasselblad.
OnePlus said: The color has been tweaked for a more natural look, and the ultra-wide sensor on the 9 Pro and 9 is one of the largest sensors ever shipped via a smartphone.
The ultra-wide camera uses a 50p Sony IMX766 sensor at 1 / 1.56 size and a 1: 2.2 aperture.
Meanwhile, the Sony IMX789 main sensor in the 9 Pro has a resolution of 48 megapixels and a size of 1 / 1.43 (the regular 9 sensor is Sony IMX689 sensor, but 48 megapixels).
The 9 Pro also has a monochrome sensor, and both phones have a 16MP front camera.
On the software side, OnePlus has added Hasselblad Pro mode, which provides additional control over recording settings and includes focus functions.
In terms of video, the 9 Pro can record in 8K at 30 fps or 4K at 120 fps. Additionally, there is an extended Nightscape video mode that can be used for recordings in poor lighting conditions.
The 9 Pro has a 120Hz refresh rate. LPTO technology allows the refresh rate to be adjusted between 1 and 120 Hz according to the content displayed on the screen, reducing power consumption by up to 50%.
OnePlus said: Users should feel more responsive when using the screen over games that support Hyper Touch technology.
The screen has a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits and supports HDR10 +. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 9 tablet's screen isn't curved, but the refresh rate is still 120Hz.
The 9 Pro and 9 are powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor and offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage space.
Both phones support 65W Warp Charge technology, as OnePlus said: You should be able to charge a 4,500mAh battery to 100% in less than half an hour.
The 9 Pro can also be charged wirelessly at 50W and is designed to be charged wirelessly regardless of portrait or landscape orientation, while the 9 Pro can be wirelessly charged up to 15W.
In terms of colors, the OnePlus 9 Pro offers black, silver and green, while the OnePlus 9 offers black, light purple and blue.
The price of the 8/128 GB version of the OnePlus 9 Pro is $ 970, while the price of the 12/256 GB version is $ 1,070.
The 8 / 128GB version of the OnePlus 9 is $ 730, while the 12 / 256GB version is $ 830.
