The KIA EV6 .. the small electric car of the big dreams |
Kia has spent the last month pushing the development of new electric cars, and Kia has shown more knowledge about the EV6.
The EV6 is expected to launch in select global markets including North America in the second half of the year and will be the first Kia to introduce electrical engineering from the ground up.
The passive Niro EV SUV is a gasoline-powered vehicle that can be powered by batteries after conversion.
However, the EV6 is based on the premise that Kia will power six electric cars in the future.
Parent company Hyundai is using the E-GMP platform to power the Ioniq 5 EV and other futuristic electric vehicles.
This means that the EV6 is a very important car for Kia. Hence, the company has made sure that it has amazing features and cutting edge technology.
The EV6 offers two rear-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations, which Kia is outfitting with a standard 58 kW package or a 77.4 kW remote control package.
According to European WLTP testing standards, Kia said the rear-wheel drive EV6 with long range range can travel 510 kilometers.
The E-GMP platform uses an 800-volt battery so the EV6 can be charged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.
The GT all-wheel-drive version of the EV6 is the highest specification. It has long range packages only, produces 430 kW (about 576 hp) with two engines and only runs at speeds from 0 to 100 km / h for 3.5 seconds.
The EV6 also has a built-in ICCU charge controller that, like Hyundai Ioniq 5, can perform two-way charging. This means that the vehicle draws power from the grid and can also act as a power source with an output of up to 3.6 kW for other devices.
The EV6 does not use gas to produce this type of energy. Kia said the EV6 could also extend 1,600kg as long as the battery is over 35% full.
The EV6 has several power recovery functions, such as b. A high-efficiency heat pump can remove excess energy from the cooling system so that the car can maintain 80% of its standard range even when the outside temperature drops below zero.
The EV6 also offers an advanced six-stage regenerative braking system. Riders can use the paddle switch at the rear of the bike to determine the level of kinetic energy being collected by the system.
When the system is set to maximum (called i-PEDAL mode), the EV6 can operate without the need to apply the brakes, and firing the accelerator causes the vehicle to slow slowly until it stops.
Inside the box there are two 12-inch curved screens that protrude from the interior dashboard to reduce glare and glare. One is in front of the driver and the other is for entertainment purposes.
There is also an AR display in the driver's field of vision that can show the following information: vehicle speed, navigation direction, and ADAS warnings.
Kia is vowing to improve it in the air and offer advanced driver assistance features, while the EV6's ADAS includes a new Safety Exit Assist feature that can alert you when exiting the vehicle.
Additionally, the Intelligent Park Assist system can tow the vehicle in and out of position even when it is not behind the wheel. There is also Highway 2 Driving Assistant, which can maintain the vehicle's speed at a certain speed and make sure it stays in the center of the lane
There is no information on pricing for the different configurations.
