Realme 8 Pro comes with a 108MP camera |
Oppo has announced the budget-friendly Realme 8 Pro, one of the first devices to use Samsung's new 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor in the main camera.
While similar high-resolution sensors are more common on more expensive phones (like the Galaxy S21 Ultra), this sensor is designed for low-cost devices (like the Realme 8 Pro).
It should be noted that the 108-megapixel sensor differs from the sensor used on the Galaxy S21 Ultra or even the Galaxy S20 Ultra last year, but a smaller sensor - 1 / 1.52 inches versus 1 / 1.33 inches - with 0.7 μm pixels.
However, the same blending method is used to improve the light gathering ability by combining adjacent pixels into a 12MP image with less noise.
The sensor also supports 3x zoom. With only 12 megapixels of the entire sensor, the phone has enough processing power to take 8 photos and merge them into one final image.
According to Realme, the end result is better than the photo from a triple lens camera.
Super Night Scene and Super Night Scene Video modes have been updated, and Starry Sky mode is now also available for video (the first such mode on a phone).
The phone can take 240 photos (15 seconds apart) and merge them into an 8-second video to show the movement of the night sky.
This 8MP ultra-wide camera has a 1: 2.25 lens and a 119-degree field of view, as well as a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 16MP front end. .
Realme 8 Pro offers a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, a 180 Hz touch sample rate and a 60 Hz refresh rate.
There is a Snapdragon 720G processor, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. However, if you need more, you can easily expand it by using the three-card slot microSD card slot.
The device has a 4,500mAh battery, supports 50W fast charging, and promises you up to 20 hours of uninterrupted YouTube videos or 8 hours of gaming.
A 65W charger can charge half of it in 17 minutes while the other half takes 30 minutes. Please note that the phone can charge 50 watts.
The device appeared in blue and black with some strong Realme branding with large fluorescent letters of the Dare to Leap logo glowing in the dark.
Realme 8 Pro will be available in the UK on March 31, at a price of 279 pounds (about $ 380).
