Lenovo adds WiFi 6 to its educational laptops |
Lenovo today refreshed its lineup of educational computers, announcing new versions of the Lenovo 14, Lenovo 100, Lenovo 300 and Lenovo 500 laptops.
Every computer comes with Chrome OS and Windows templates and offers the same improvements.
All models are independently compatible with MIL-SPEC 801 H. Additionally, Lenovo's stringent training specifications require the use of hardened connectors, hinges, and rubber bumpers to prevent falls.
Spill resistance performance is improved by approximately 10% and Corning Gorilla Glass provides better screen protection.
These new designs also include some features for more effective and complete learning in any setting:
- The USB Type-C port provides flexible connectivity to easily connect external devices and save up to 80% battery in one hour, which supports fast charging.
- The new HDMI connection can be connected to a second monitor to expand the study area
- Optional Wi-Fi 6 improves network performance and stability, while some 4G LTE4 models are optional for multi-site learning functions.
- Adding a real webcam shutter can improve user privacy.
AMD's enhanced Chromebook processors support 14-inch Lenovo 14w and Lenovo 14e devices.
These models are known for their colors, with the Windows 14w Lenovo coming in black and the 14e Chromebook in gray aluminum.
The obvious difference between the Lenovo 100 laptop and the Lenovo 300 and Lenovo 500 convertible models is that their names contain e (for Chromebook), w (for Windows) and 11.6-inch model and their appearance is also clear.
The Lenovo 100e, Lenovo 300e, and Lenovo 500e all have a dot gray design and white dots on the gray bumper.
Lenovo 100w, Lenovo 300w, and Lenovo 500w devices have similar design styles but are blue in color to distinguish the different versions.
Lenovo 500e and Lenovo 500w are equipped with Intel Celeron N5100 or Intel Pentium N6000 processors.
The Lenovo 100e and Lenovo 300e use the latest AMD Chromebook processors and similar Windows processors.
