Google lets you add missing routes into Maps |
Google announced three new ways to make maps richer and more accurate, so they can be more useful when people browse places online before they leave home.
First of all, this tech giant is facing a national challenge and wants to encourage you to say more about local businesses.
If you have an Android device in the US in the next month, you can participate in the Local Love Challenge.
When you go to the "Publish" tab in the Google Maps app, you will see options to help you achieve the goal of 100,000 company updates.
In addition to leaving ratings and comments, you can also confirm and update company information, such as: b- The shop opening times.
Google will also launch a new feature that allows you to upload company photos via the card in the coming weeks.
You can leave a picture of a place with a short text description to show others that the restaurant has outdoor seating or that the appearance of the place has changed without leaving a comment or rating.
If you are looking for a location in the Map, you can also view the image from the Refresh tab. To make a contribution, you can click the "Download update from" button on the same tab.
Google has enabled the use of desktop editing tools to report map changes.
You can add missing streets to the map by selecting "Edit" from the side menu, then selecting "Draw a line".
The tool also allows you to change the orientation of streets, re-align, delete and rename incorrect streets if the information on the map is no longer correct.
If you are temporarily trying to add a missing street, you can add a pin where the street should be added and then enter the street name just to have this information sent to Google.
The new tool should help in adding the missing methods and make corrections. For example, if the street is a one-way street, specify the street name or direction. However, Google Maps states that it does not.
The release of the card by third parties is risky. This is why Google will review this map before publishing any traffic updates to prevent people from adding the wrong information.
In the coming months, the tech giant will introduce this feature to 80 countries.
