Bill Gates explains why he preferred Android over iPhone |
Microsoft founder Bill Gates revealed why he continues to prefer Android devices over Apple iPhones.
In an interview with (Andrew Ross Sorkin) and Co-founder of Club House (Paul Davidson) Paul Davidson (Paul Davidson), Gates said: The merger between Android software and Microsoft means that it mostly uses Android devices.
And (Bill Gates) added: I actually use an Android phone because I want to track everything, and I use iPhone a lot, but the phone I own is Android.
Microsoft founder added: Some Android manufacturers have installed Microsoft software in an easier way for me. You are more flexible in the connection between the program and the operating system. I'm used to it. A lot of my friends own iPhones.
Microsoft tried to start up on its Windows Phone, but closed the project due to missing apps.
The software giant has since worked with Google to develop a foldable Android phone called Surface Duo.
Since then, Microsoft has become more integrated with other manufacturers such as Samsung.
Since 2019, the South Korean manufacturer has integrated the Microsoft Your Phone app, which enables a certain degree of integration between smartphones and Windows 10 devices, just like Apple's ecosystem between iOS and macOS.
Samsung also produced the Microsoft version of the Galaxy S8 in 2017, which includes several giant apps and software for the service, including: Office, OneDrive, Outlook, and Cortana.
Although Davidson was only interviewed about Clubhouse on iOS devices (Bill Gates), Davidson said: Developing the Android version of the app is a top priority for the company.
Although the iPhone accounts for 45% of the US market, Android remains the most widely used mobile operating system in the world.
Due to the high price of the iPhone and the wide availability of inexpensive devices in countries like India or China, more than 70% of people use Samsung, Huawei, OnePlus or Google devices.
