Aya Neo: Gaming laptop is now available on Indiegogo |
Chinese startup Aya Neo, which makes gaming laptops with Ryzen processors, exceeded its crowdfunding goal within hours of its appearance on Indiegogo.
With the 512GB SSD model selling in less than 24 hours and not being updated, the company is currently outperforming its original target of 3,067%. However, Aya released an additional 1,000 units of 1 TB to meet the demand.
Although the design of Aya Neo is similar to that of the Nintendo Switch, it is more powerful on the 7nm AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor, AMD Radeon Vega 6 graphics, and 16GB RAM.
The device has a 7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and runs Windows 10, so there are no compatibility issues.
To keep the device running, three 65W 4100mAh Li-ion batteries are charged via USB-C. The company claims that the battery can run the device for 6 hours.
Aya Neo has three 10Gbps USB 3.2 Type-C ports (two with video output and charging functions) and a headphone jack.
An optional $ 47 platform offers two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, an SD card slot, a MicroSD card slot, and an Ethernet port for connecting a mouse, keyboard, and external monitor.
At current settings, the frame rate should be between 30 and 60 fps for most games (including Cyberpunk 2077).
You need to check system requirements for new games to see if Aya Neo matches them. However, the company has confirmed that it is sending improvements that could help increase the number of frames per second as new games are released.
Aya initially stopped crowdfunding activities due to insufficient inventory and after resolving the supply chain issue, the company started mass production of the device.
Before you spend about $ 869 helping Aya Neo, keep in mind that this is a crowdfunding campaign and a tenth of the products that have been successfully funded have yet to hit the market.
These are investments in product concepts rather than ultimate obligations on physical products. However, Aya has tested proof of concept and is actively selling the device in China, which means that gaming laptops will soon be on the market.
